Suryakant Tripathi Nirala Biography: Suryakant Tripathi Nirala, who received the title of Mahakavi in ​​Hindi literature, was born in the princely state of Bengal, Mahishadal. He was born on the day of Vasant Panchami, although his date of birth is given as 21 February 1896 in his story collection Lilly. His father Pandit Ramsahai Tiwari was a resident of Unnao in Uttar Pradesh. He used to work as a constable in Mahishadal.

Nirala (Suryakant Tripathi Nirala) got education till High School. After that he did independent study of Hindi, Sanskrit and Bengali. The most important thing about Nirala’s life is that she did not give up even in the most difficult situations. His personality was always unique. In the year 1948, the students of Jabalpur Hitkarini Mahavidyalaya organized a Kavi Sammelan. In this, the great poet Nirala was invited as the chief guest.

Nirala ji also happily accepted the kurta and laughed and said, “The advantage of attending the children’s program is that I got a new kurta”. Then the pocket of his new kurta got torn down and fell down. A wave of humor ran in the audience.

Nirala ji also quipped and said, “We came wearing torn kurtas and will go only wearing torn ones”. Hearing this, the audience burst out laughing. Due to this nature, Mahakavi Nirala ji had a different identity among the listeners and contemporary poets. Nirala ji (Suryakant Tripathi Nirala) died on 15 October 1961 in Allahabad. In the last days of his life, he lived in Allahabad.
