Varahamihira Biography: It is true that since ancient times man must have been interested to know about space and its strong constellations, but because of this interest, those who tried their sincere efforts to know it through esoteric and subtle studies with their unfathomable and tireless efforts, among them Aryabhatta.

Along with this, the name of astrologer and astronomer Varahamihira is also notable. The science of astrology was created on the basis of the activities of the planets visible to the eyes along with the Sun and the Moon, in them the name of Varahamihira is paramount because he established the relation of knowledge of planetary constellations with various aspects of human life.

Varahamihira was born in 505 AD. In the Bruhjatak, while introducing his father Adityadas, he has written that “I received the education of astrology from my father Adityadas after getting a groom from the Sun in Kalpi Nagar.

After this they went to Ujjaini and started living. This is what he composed Bruhjatak. He was a worshiper of the sun. Varahamihira covered the texts named Laghujataka, Marriage-Patala, Bruhktasamhita, Yoga Yatra and Panchasidhantika. He is considered one of the Navaratnas of Vikramaditya.

Varahamihira is the creator of Indian astrology literature. He has given information about five principles from his book called Pancha Siddhantika, in which information about Indian and western astrology is included.

He has given information about the culture and geographical location of that time in his knowledge base named Brihatsamhita. As a result, the information of astrology is more in his texts. The Brihatjatak text of Horoshastra, which is known as Horoshastra, is based on this scripture. Laghujatak is a short form of this text.

In the Yoga Yatra, there is a description of events related to auspicious and inauspicious etc. while going on a journey. Along with knowledge in these books, superstition also got a lot of strength. If we ignore the superstitious things, then the good things of this book will be helpful in our knowledge.

Due to the special speed of the earth’s ion-movement, the seasons are made to know about it. Based on the new calculations made by mathematics, Panchag was created. If we want to know ancient Indian astrology, then we must study the astrological principles of Varahamihira. Some mythological astrologers of our country believe in astrology based on superstitions by becoming astrologers. The way Varahamihira had coordinated Romesh and Polish, Greek, Western astrology theory with Indian astrology, today’s astrologers need it, only then astrology will get the status of science.
